New Session of DivorceCare
New sessions of DivorceCare begin in March and October. DivorceCare is a seminar and support group for those experiencing the pain of separation and divorce. The group will meet on Mondays from 6:00-8:00 PM and runs for 13 weeks. FBC Food Pantry
Food Pantry receives about 700 visits each year from needy individuals and families from the greater Lebanon area.
Please remember our Raven Box Food Pantry when you do your shopping this month! We are in special need of canned meats, canned pastas, canned fruit, etc.
Community Dinner News
Our Community Dinner program continues to serve as many as 30 people every Wednesday at 5:30 PM. If you would like to sign up to bring food, help to serve, or clean up, see the calendar on the wall next to the food pantry door, or call Chris Clark, 603-643-5793.
Prayer Shawn Ministry
The prayer shawl ministry has been running for about one year now. We have given out a total of 29 shawls and have received much positive feed back. The recipients have been overwhelmed with gratitude for our prayers and thoughtfulness as they face some very difficult trials in their
lives. The shawl brings great comfort in reminding them that others are praying for them. Thank you so much for those who have donated their time and talents. The shawls that we have received have been absolutely gorgeous. Thank you also for those of you who have donated yarn or prayed for the shawl recipients. At the monthly Women’s Fellowship Dinners we pray for the recipients of the shawls. If anyone is in need of a prayer shawl for a friend or loved one, please see Jeanne Lang ( 448-0277 ) or Marge Olson (448-3442 ).
America for Christ Offering
During the month of February we will be accepting the America For Christ Offering (AFC). The United States is the third largest mission field on our planet. Millions of people right on our doorsteps have a deep hunger – not just for food, education or a warm bed, but also for comfort, hope and assurance that someone, somewhere cares. Through the America for Christ Offering, ABC National Ministries provides disaster relief following such emergencies as Hurricane Katrina, refugee resettlement, chaplains in our hospitals and prisons, help to children through the American Baptist Children in Poverty Initiative, evangelism training and more. Your gifts to this important offering will provide aid throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. A special offering envelope is included in this newsletter for your convenience.
